Cameron Thomas, a five-star guard prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has been offered a scholarship by the St. John’s Red Storm.
This news was relayed on Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten.
Thomas has drawn plenty of interest from other big boy programs. The Florida Gators, North Carolina State Wolfpack, and a whole host of other schools are going after his services.
The Virginia Tech Hokies and Auburn Tigers have both offered the guard a scholarship.
Not only do most reputable recruiting service outlets have Cameron Thomas pegged as a five-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s roughly one of the 20 (or so) best recruits in the entire 2020 class.
As for the St. John’s Red Storm, they are hoping a new era will help return the program to relevance, bringing in Mike Anderson into the fold this offseason.
