It appears as though the St. John’s Red Storm are going to target 2021 five-star prospect Jon Kuminga early and rather often. Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers reported the program was in to see the young man on Friday.
Several outlets have already started to attach stars and overall ratings to the young man’s game. ESPN not only has him listed as a five-star prospect, but as one of the four best players in the entire 2021 recruiting class.
As CBB Today tends to note with players this far out from committing, a lot can change over the course of a few years. That being said, Jon Kuminga is a 6-foot-7 wing from Queens. People who follow grassroots recruiting closely strongly feel as though the Red Storm are the early favorite to land his services.
Clearly, that’s only conjecture at this juncture in the game.
As for the St. John’s Red Storm, they’re looking to finish of the Big East schedule strong, hoping to make the NCAA Tournament.
