Symir Torrence, a four-star guard prospect out of the 2020 recruiting class, is coming off an official visit with the Butler Bulldogs and has another lined up with the Marquette Golden Eagles.
The official visit with Butler happened this past weekend. According to Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, the official visit with Marquette will be the player’s second such visit. He has a third visit with the Cincinnati Bearcats also scheduled.
A 6-foot-3 combination guard, Symir Torrence is from Syracuse. Considering his location, as well as the number of stars already attached to his name, you better believe the Syracuse Orange are also eyeing the young man as he goes through his recruitment process.
Not only do all reputable recruiting service websites have the guard pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 50 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class.
Considering he’s still a few recruiting classes away from hitting campus, don’t expect a decision to come immediately. Torrence still has plenty of time to take visits, have coaches visit him and the like. There’s no rush in getting something in place this early.
