Corey Walker, a four-star wing prospect out of the 2020 recruiting class, has been offered a scholarship by the Tennessee Volunteers. This news was relayed on Twitter by Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten.
A 6-foot-7 talent from Florida, Walker is gaining plenty of interest from quality programs across the nation. Other teams keeping an eye on the youngster are the Auburn Tigers, Georgetown Hoyas, Georgia Bulldogs, Memphis Tigers, Maryland Terrapins and a slew of other teams.
Basically, if a good program plans on having a scholarship available in a few years, Corey Walker is a target.
Not only all all reputable recruiting service outlets at least have the youngster pegged as a four-star recruit, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 50 (or so) best players in the entire 2020 recruiting class.
As for the Tennessee Volunteers, they are one of the most well balanced teams in the nation this season. Given how well the Vols are playing, it isn’t exactly shocking to see Rick Barnes flirting with top prospects on the recruiting trail.
