The NCAA Division 1 Women’s NCAA Tournament Basketball Committee will release two top-16 lists this season.
The first release will happen during halftime of the South Carolina/UConn matchup on ESPN2 on February 11. The second release will happen during the UConn/South Florida matchup on March 4 at halftime.
Accordingly, each reveal will include the top-16 teams in seed order. Along with the seed order, there will be possible regional placements for all 16 teams on the list. With the region assignments, it will be as if the season ended on that date of the release. Now, these reveals will have no factor on the final 64 teams that will be selected for the NCAA Tournament.
The 64-team field for the 2019 Women’s NCAA Tournament will be announced on March 18 at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
