Reece Beekman, a four-star guard prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, has committed to play for the Virginia Cavaliers.
This news was broken by several grassroots reporters on the mean streets of Twitter.
“Tony Bennett is a straight forward guy and they win big. I like his calmness in big moments and he definitely lets his guards play,” the young man told ESPN’s Paul Biancardi.
The point guard joins shooting guard Carson McCorkle as the two commits in the 2020 class for the Virginia Cavaliers.
As for Reece Beekman, not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have him pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 40 (or so) best talents in the entire 2020 grouping. Obviously, in turn, this is a good get for Bennett.
With some roster turnover hitting the Virginia Cavaliers, the upcoming college basketball campaign will be an interesting one to follow. As for the 2020-21 voyage, we’re still a bit too far out to even give it sincere thought.
