Niels Lane, a four-star guard prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, is going to visit the Virginia Tech Hokies starting on Saturday.
This news was relayed on Twitter by Rivals and Stockriskers reporter Jake Weingarten, who also mentioned the program offered him a scholarship last week.
Lane’s recruitment process has been getting more attention as of late. It’s worth noting that, as the New Jersey product has only recently picked up major steam. Prior to the last few months, most outlets projected him as a middling three-star talent.
However, as he’s gotten more play in front of more eyes, Niels Lane has become a four-star in some reputable recruiting service outlets, including 247Sports, who gave him four stars in their composite rankings. Still, it’s worth noting he’s mostly pegged way outside of top-100 boards.
Nevertheless, the Virginia Tech Hokies, with a new regime in place, are hoping to land the young man.
