The Wisconsin Badgers managed to defeat the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sunday, finishing their regular season docket better than plenty of preseason projections guessed.
It’s why they play the games and all that jazz.
After the game, Greg Gard spoke about how Wisconsin managed to exceed expectations.
“For this group, to do what they’ve done this year, given the predictions and prognostications, to finish fourth and get the double-bye is a heck of an accomplishment for our guys,” Gard said.
With the victory, the Wisconsin Badgers finished the regular season with an overall record of 22-9. As for their Big Ten record, it sits at 14-6.
It took the Badgers overtime to put way the Buckeyes, something Gard looks at as a net-positive.
“We’ll be fine,” Gard said. “This is a great lesson for us. It’s a better lesson than doing that and losing it. We have to look at how well we played for 33 or 35 minutes. We did some really good things, and we did some good things in overtime, too.”
